Doctoral Student in sociology of sport on the prevention of sexual harassment and abuse in sport
DAiSI has been established thanks to an interdisciplinary network of research institutions and non-governmental organisations in the field of sport ethics and integrity and is funded by the European Union. It will produce a cohort of doctoral candidates that are capable of understanding, developing, and critiquing the complex ethico-legal challenges in sporting contexts around the globe.
The interdisciplinary network is comprised of:
- 5 universities: KU Leuven (Belgium, lead), Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (Germany), Norwegian School of Sport Sciences (Norway), Swansea University (Wales) and University of Lausanne (Switzerland)) and
- 7 leading international sport organisations and non-governmental organisations: Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU); Biathlon Integrity Unit (BIU); Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA); International Olympic Committee (IOC); Union of European Football Associations (UEFA); United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC); and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
